AI is increasingly being used for emotional support — but research from OpenAI and MIT raises concerns that it may leave some users feeling even worse.
This is an amazing piece. This needs to be discussed more. I do not think people are aware of the impact AI will (and is) have on our cognitive abilities. In a lot of ways, we will lose what it means to be human.
This is such an important conversation. Designing these tools responsibly, especially for vulnerable populations, will be key, and reminds us that human relationships can’t simply be replaced by algorithms.
